It means a great deal to me whenever the readers of my journal share their comments...
Most are uplifting and encouraging, and I always welcome feedback. Many liked “The Sparrow” (January 21, 2019). The entry was about a little sparrow who refused to let go. While “The Lonely Girl” (April 30, 2019) struck some nerves. It was a sobering piece on the need to be more sensitive to the pains and hurts of others, especially with young persons who frequently use social media to express their feelings. The questions I posed to the readers were, is anyone listening to their cries? And what can you do about it?
More recently, however, comments have started to come in about “Beautiful Ruth” (August 10, 2019). Beautiful Ruth is about devotion to someone you love. It’s also about faith.
In this case, it was Ruth’s love for her mother-in-law. She was willing to sacrifice her own hopes and dreams, and desires, and leave behind what was familiar to her. Ruth made the decision to venture into the unknown. But what would come were blessings beyond her imagination.
