Matthew 1:1-17 records the genealogy of Yeshua the Messiah, the son of David, the son of Abraham. The generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; from David to the deportation to Babylon, fourteen generations; and from the deportation to Babylon to the Messiah, fourteen generations.
The Daniel 9 prophecy foresees the exact time frame of the coming of the Messiah, even telling us what will happen to Him. After reading the Jeremiah 25:8-13 prophecy, Daniel fears that because of the sins of the people, the exile will be extended. So Daniel cries out to God in repentance and fasting. In response to Daniel’s prayer, God sends the angel Gabriel. Gabriel announces the coming of the Messiah will be in 7 weeks and 62 weeks (483 years). According to Gabriel, these 483 years would start with the command to rebuild Jerusalem (Daniel 9:25). In 445 BC, the King of Persia, Artaxerxes, gives Nehemiah the required order to rebuild Jerusalem and the temple (Nehemiah 2:1-8). So according to the book of Daniel, the Messiah must appear no later than 483 years after the year 445 BC. His mission - to put an end to sin, and to atone for iniquity (Isaiah 52:13-15, 53).

For our Jewish friends:
Many don't realize that Yeshua taught from the Tanakh. Even if we skip over most of the New Testament, and just read the book of Revelation, we can find that it is full of Scriptures/prophecies from the Jewish Bible (see the list). These passages tell of what is soon to come. All eyes will be on Israel, and we are getting a glimpse of that even now.
Contrary to what you may have heard, Jewish people who believe Yeshua is the Messiah, will never lose their Jewishness. Yeshua was Jewish, as were His 12 disciples and many other followers.
