I cannot thank everyone enough for your encouraging comments concerning my testimony, interviews, and journal writings...
I've been deeply touched by what many visitors to AriseandShine.org have shared. Some of you wrote about very personal matters, while others commented on how inspired they were to learn what God has done in my life.
As I have said many times throughout the years, my story is not a "crime" story, It's a story of hope. It lets people know that God's forgiveness is possible. It is available for the asking.
As for myself, receiving compliments may mean more to me because I live in a very oppressive place. Therefore, a kind word from someone may be appreciated more in here than if I were on the outside.
If I were pastoring a church, for instance, and someone approached me after a service and said something like, "Nice sermon, pastor." I would probably respond with a smile and say, "Thank you." But reading the honest and upbeat comments I get from AriseandShine.org is far more satisfying than a fellow parishioner's gracious words, along with a polite nod of approval.
Thank you, everyone, for your frank and sincere comments and feedback.
