Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my
holy mountain: let all of the land tremble. For the
day of the Lord is coming, and it is close at hand.

Joel 2:1

It's based on the book of Joel, a prophet in the Old Testament. "Blow the trumpet in Zion. Announce to Satan that his days are numbered."
I know that, according to the holy Scriptures, God has placed a limit on the length of time the Devil could roam the earth to do his mischief. Yet at the same time, every passing second brings us closer to the "day of the Lord." This will be when Satan's grip upon humanity will come to an end, and he will find himself confined to what the Bible refers to as the "Abyss," also known as the "bottomless pit."
But as I thought about it, I also sensed the Lord saying that while it is good to know this, it is important to speak it out as well. And as Satan steps up his assaults upon the earth, and especially upon Christ's disciples, and as his deceptions become more clever, the church needs to become bolder at affirming our faith.
First, we need to speak these words out loud as a faith and confidence builder for ourselves. Second, to help embolden others within the body of Christ. Third, to remind the devil that he is on limited time, and to proclaim his doom, which the Scriptures confirm.
I believe this is very important for the perilous times we now live in. In truth, the Lord fights for us, but it is okay to proclaim His victory, and to rest assured in it. I want to make the devil tremble!
