I was asked to give some words of encouragement during this afternoon’s chapel service...
I read Psalm 46 to the congregation and then began to talk about the Lord being our source of strength and help during times of difficulty and trouble.
I primarily focused my message on the above verse and gave a few examples of how the Lord came to my aid when I was going through a hard time. Here’s a little of what I said:
God is our refuge and strength when...
We feel overwhelmed
We feel discouraged
We feel like giving up
We feel all alone
We think no one cares
We get bad news from home
When everything seems to be going wrong
When we learn a good friend is on a transfer
I received a lot of amens, when I mentioned each of these. All could relate to the message.
