Final Destination

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first
heaven and the first earth were passed away...

Many of my fellow prisoners will oftentimes ask me how I’ve managed to keep my sanity...

...and retain a positive and upbeat attitude now having spent forty-one years incarcerated, with perhaps many more years yet to do. My reply is to tell them that it has only been by the grace of God, and by the comfort and encouragement which I receive reading from the Scriptures (the Holy Bible).

I also let the guys know that I don’t consider prison as my home. That it’s only a stopover until it’s time for me to go to my final destination, heaven. Heaven is where my heart is as I look forward to the day, and yearn for the day when I will be with Messiah Jesus in glory and will be reunited with friends who’ve gone into eternity before me.
