Autumn has arrived...
In my part of New York, the trees have already begun to change colors. I wish I had a camera. Outside my window and beyond the concrete outer wall of the prison, and up on a small hill stands "Big Red" and "Miss Violet." Both of them looking tall, princely and proud in a forest of oranges, yellows, and browns.
Big Red has all red leaves and nothing else. His bright leaves glistening in the sunshine. While Miss Violet is arrayed in all violet colored leaves. So pretty Miss Violet stands as queen of the forest. Neither tree has any competitors. Each is one of a kind.
Besides their natural beauty, the air of fall is fresh, crisp and cool. Perfect weather. So refreshing, especially after a hot and muggy summer. Autumn in the Catskill Mountains makes one feel happy to be alive.
