The Lord continues to confirm to me that I made the right decision...
...by allowing some of the elders of my congregation to do more of the teaching and preaching, and to oversee the worship services.
I am still active in the chapel, however. As I will on occasion be asked to lead in worship, or to give a short message of encouragement, or to present a sermon.
In addition, I am very involved in my own writing, to include my daily correspondence and this journal. Then there's my work assignments to include my afternoon visits to the 64-man Intermediate Care Program, where I try to assist and encourage those with special needs.
So I am most thankful for the opportunity to pass the torch of leadership on to other well qualified men who love the Lord. They, too, need the chance to exercise their gifts. And now it is their time to shine for Jesus.
