I have been enjoying the fall season to the fullest...
The air has been cool and refreshing, and the colors of the leaves on the trees are beautiful. In fact, from my cell's window, I can look out and see a portion of the woods beyond the prison's outer wall.
However, one of these trees is different from the rest. All its leaves are red, while the other trees that encircle it have leaves that are yellow, brown and orange.
I have named this tree, "Big Red." I've been told by someone who says he's knowledgeable about trees that it is probably a maple tree. If so, it is the only one of its kind in the immediate forest. I guess it wants to be a non-conformist. Tall and regal-looking, Big Red stands erect like a king leading his troops to battle. Proud to be red, and proud to be different, I like Big Red.
