And this past Sunday we did just that. Before our usual opening prayer, which is done at the start of every service, it was asked that those who need prayer for something or someone raise their hands and one at a time publicly state their respective needs. Then prayer was offered for each request.
So it was encouraging for me, when, earlier today, two men, at different times, approached me with the news that their particular prayers had been answered. One man told me he just learned his aunt is now out of the hospital after having been rushed there last week with chest pains; she has a heart condition. While another stopped me in the corridor as I was returning from work with the good news that his father does not have cancer, as it was first thought. Praise the Lord!
