It is on this day that Jews everywhere celebrate the holiday known as Rosh Hashanah, which is the Jewish New Year...
So, by the grace of God, I was able to spend extra time in prayer today. I asked the Lord for more of my fellow Jews to be saved, and to come to know Jesus (Yeshua) as their Savior and Messiah.
In addition, during the time of prayer, which I do in my prison cell, I also prayed for many other nations because God is just as eager to save the gentiles. I especially prayed for Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia. In fact, according to the Jewish Virtual Library which lists the current number of Jews who live in each country, Tunisia has approximately 1,100 Jewish people living within its borders. So I asked the Lord to give them special protection, as this tiny community exists in a predominately Muslim land.
I prayed for those who live on Indian reservations throughout North America, too. I always ask the Lord to help the missionaries who are working in foreign lands, and for the persecuted church. And I asked the Lord to make Christians everywhere more loving and kindhearted, and to become bold in their witness for the Lord. I asked all these things for myself as well.
