The thief comes only to steal, and to kill, and to
destroy; I am come that they might have life, and
that they might have it more abundantly.

Once one becomes trapped in it, it is hard to get free. It’s slavery in the most cunning and brutal forms. And many don’t even know they’ve become victims to its soul-damning power.
Just recently I received good news that a young woman who reached out to me earlier this year, decided to toss her copy of the Satanic Bible into the trash. She wrote, “Thank you for the prayers. It means a lot to me. You should be happy to know I threw the Satanic Bible away.” Indeed, I was happy!
I know that most who get involved in some form of the occult, which includes witchcraft, sorcery, satanism, and more, become involved innocently. They’re looking for something they believe is missing in their lives. Maybe they're bored with traditional religion, or they’re seeking a sense of adventure? Satan has many different lures to capture his victims. He knows how to entice a hungry soul.
But I have cautioned again and again not to go down such pathways, no matter how harmless they may seem. Each one will ultimately put that individual on what Jesus called, “the broad road to destruction” (Matthew 7:13-14).
In fact, speaking of this bottomless pit, one of the names of Satan is “Apollyon,” which means “king of the bottomless pit.” And Satan himself is a fallen angel. Revelation 9:11 states, “And they (the demons)* had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue has the name Apollyon."*
Apollyon, is the Devil, and he is a destroyer of souls.
