Within recent weeks, there were major earthquakes in Mexico and massive deadly wildfires in California...

Within recent weeks, there were major earthquakes in Mexico and massive deadly wildfires in California...
And there were several powerful hurricanes which brought much devastation to parts of Texas and Florida, Cuba, and Puerto Rico, and to many of the islands in the Caribbean along with the loss of lives. All this was followed by a senseless shooting massacre which left 58 people dead and hundreds wounded in the state of Nevada.
Who can explain such things? I cannot. But my prayer is that through such inexplicable tragedies we will better appreciate the gift of life. Also, that we would better understand the brevity of it. For today is the day of salvation, as tomorrow is promised to no one.
Life is a gift from the Almighty, and we should thank Him for it.
