Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from
our sins with His own blood, and has made us
kings and priests unto God and His Father...
Revelation 1:5-6
I love this Scripture from the New Testament's book of the Revelation, from which I quoted in part...

It's something I need to remind myself of again and again. That all my sins have been fully paid for by the blood of the Messiah, the Lord Jesus. The Bible also declares Jesus to be the "Lamb of God."
Forever undeserving of such great mercy, today I stand before God and men as completely forgiven for those sins, according to the Scriptures. Not only so, but God the Father now sees me as a king and priest. Yet who am I that I should go from sinner to saint, and prisoner to priest?
Yes, every individual who has repented of his sins and has placed his faith on the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross, is in God the Father's eyes a king (albeit a far, far lesser one than the King of Kings himself). And I stand before Him as a priestly intercessor as well. What an amazing grace!
