The Lord hears, and He answers. I've now been at my new place for six months. It's different from Sullivan in many ways. But by God's grace, I am making the best of it. I've been busy working a full-time job Monday through Friday. Bible studies every Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Worship services every Saturday and Sunday afternoon from 1 to 3:30. Wednesday evenings I attend our veterans meeting in a classroom.
I've been working on my monthly journal, trying to catch up and fill in the missing years. I had too much on my plate at Sullivan and never had the time to write as I wanted to. So while there are a lot of negatives with the transfer, having some responsibilities lifted off my shoulders has been a big plus. Now I have to be careful not to over-commit, and not allow others, although well-meaning, to talk me into doing things. It's called "people pleasing," and it's one of my biggest flaws.
