As I look over my life, on the surface things seem to be going okay...

As I look over my life, on the surface things seem to be going okay...
Yet beneath the surface my heart has been heavy, and I often find myself doing a lot of private crying. It has been like this since last year.
I cannot explain why this is happening. I know that God's joy is in my heart. But at the same time, there is a deep feeling of anguish as well.
Nevertheless, in spite of the inner pain, I rejoice in all the wonderful spiritual victories I've experienced both this year and last. My testimony continues to touch lives, and those small reports keep me encouraged. I know it is all the Lord's doing.
As the Scripture declares, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31). And I believe this.
Therefore, whatever challenges come my way, be they struggles within my own heart or spiritual attacks from the outside, my trust and hope are forever in the Lord. Jesus is the Author and Finisher of my faith (Hebrews 12:1-2).
