The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because
He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to
the poor, He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted,
to preach deliverance to the captives, and
the recovering of sight to the blind, to
set at liberty them that are bruised.
Luke 4:18
Jesus Christ is still healing broken bodies and restoring souls who've been bruised and battered by life's cruel blows...

As the prophet Malachi wrote in the Old Testament concerning the coming of the promised Messiah, to those who honor the name of the Lord, the "Sun of righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings (Malachi 4:2)."
Yes, Jesus can mend a broken heart. And I have no doubt that the world's selfish system with its greed and ruthlessness has left many a person ruined. No doubt the pressures of having to live in this fallen world have caused many a souls to feel weary, drained of hope, and beaten down.
Therefore, it is wonderful to know that there exists a God who cares. He loves humanity and wants to help us. God, I believe, is full of mercy and compassion. In the person of Jesus Christ this God reaches down with holy hands to tenderly pick up those, like myself, who have failed at life; are fallen creatures whom the world would rather see dead.
This is the Lord whom I worship. He is the Creator of all flesh who is above all gods and idols. He alone is worthy to be praised, and adored, and worshipped by grateful hearts, everywhere. Amen!
