For God is not unjust...
He will not forget how hard you have worked for Him, and
how you have shown your love to Him by caring for others
Hebrews 6:10 (NLT)
It's a recurring theme all throughout the Scriptures...

It's a recurring theme all throughout the Scriptures...
God rewards those who do good to their neighbors. In fact, there are so many Scriptures on giving oneself to help others that it would take hours to go through them all.
For example, here's one, "The generous soul will be made fat, and he that waters shall be watered himself" (Proverbs 11:25). And here is another, "Cast thy bread upon the water, for thou shall find it after many days" (Ecclesiastes 11:1).
Even Jesus himself was quoted as saying, "And whosoever shall give a cup of cold water unto one of these little ones, even if it is only in the name of a disciple, he shall not lose his reward" (Matthew 10:42). While in His famous Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said that if anyone did the things he listed in his sermon to, "Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great will be your reward in heaven!" (Matthew 5:2-12).
The Lord remembers every good thing we have done unto others. He has rewards and blessings, some of which He will bestow upon us while we're here on earth, and even greater rewards will await us in eternity. After all, He's the God who remembers.
"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast and unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord" (1 Corinthians 15:58).
