Be alert, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as
a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour.

The Devil is real. The Bible makes mention of him often. Even Christ himself had many encounters with the Devil. And he and his demonic cohorts are still at work today, carrying out their mission to deceive and destroy as many souls as possible.
It doesn't matter if someone refuses to believe in his existence. The Holy Scriptures declare him to be real. Christ's recorded words declare him to be real. I know from my own experience that he exists. While the misery and chaos we witness in the world each day, likewise attests to the reality of the devil.
The devil loves to see strife, turmoil and division everywhere, even within the family unit. I know this to be true because a friend of mine, who placed her faith in Jesus Christ several years ago after reading my story of redemption online, recently had to seek legal protection from the authorities because of the verbal and physical attacks that have been directed against her by her adult daughter.
My friend, who joined a church after committing herself to the Lord, and has been faithfully serving Him since her salvation experience, told me in a recent letter that her daughter had gone to a rock concert and met several individuals who were wearing what could be referred to as jewelry with occultic symbols. They wore and displayed pentagrams, as well.
The beatings and abuse broke my friend's heart. She even took her daughter to church with her on several occasions, with the hope that she too would embrace the same faith as her mom. But, at least for now, this has not been the case.
My friend was wondering what could cause such hateful behavior. In my opinion, this spate of assaults is satanic in origin. I say this because it was shortly after her daughter began to hang out with her new friends, that the verbal abuse and physical violence began.
I told her that these individuals may not even be genuine satanists. They may just think it's "cool" and "hip" to dress up as they did. But by doing this, and probably without realizing it, they attracted demons. This is because evil entities don't care if someone who wears such symbols is actually a practitioner of satanism.
Really, it doesn't matter if her daughter's new friends worship the devil or not. Simply by wearing those things or tattooing one's self with a symbol such a "666" or with a pentagram, which are both popular signs that show one's allegiance to Satan, may cause some form of demonic attachment to occur. This is where the danger lies.
From a demonic attachment could come the introduction of evil spirits into one's life and home. Many professionals as well as ministers who are knowledgeable in such matters would agree with me, I'm sure.
Yes, the Bible mentions the "power of Satan" (Acts 26:18). It declares the reality of demon possession, and oppression, and their ability to cause emotional disturbance. Demons can also afflict people with different kinds of illness, paralysis or pain. But for the followers of Jesus Christ, they know the Lord is infinitely more powerful than the devil himself, or his legions of fallen angels.
Yet at the same time, we understand that items such as occultic jewelry, or satanic symbols like the pentagram or images of Baphomet, have the potential to bring harm to those who wear such paraphernalia.
So on a personal note, I would advise those who want to wear anything that is usually associated with satanism, vampirism, witchcraft, or even with anti-Semitism, to be avoided. Such involvement could result in bringing harm to themselves, and to others.
