I ventured outdoors to get some fresh air. However, as I walked along the track that’s in our large
recreation yard, I observed a herd of seven deer feeding in the weedy grass just outside the prison’s security fences. Nature! Seeing them was a treat.
The yard was quiet and peaceful. With the temperature in the mid-20s, few were willing to brave the cold. But the sun was out. Its rays were sweet on my face. While off in the distance, the majestic Shawangunk cliffs gleamed in all their glory.
