Coming to prison is not the end of my life...
Years ago I thought it would be, but now I see it as yet another chapter in my journey. And it’s not the final chapter, either. God is not done with me yet. I wholeheartedly believe this.
What the Lord said to Jeremiah the prophet more than twenty-six hundred years ago, is what He is saying to me now, and not only to me but to all those who have placed their trust in Him. “For I know the plans I have for you. Plans for peace, and not of evil, to give you hope, and a good end” (Jeremiah 29:11).
What does this mean for me? While I had a sad past and a bearable present, I have a great future. The best is yet to come.
