During this morning's Bible reading, I was reminded that God is in control of all things...

During this morning's Bible reading, I was reminded that God is in control of all things...
Even a little bird cannot fall to the ground without my heavenly Father knowing about it.
Therefore, in my opinion, even as America appears to be drifting further away from God, and as man's rebellion against His Maker intensifies, I've no doubt that all is well with my soul.
The Bible clearly warns that as time goes on, evil will be on the increase (2 Timothy 3:13). And I believe that any sensible person could see the reality of this. Nevertheless, the Lord Jesus Christ has established His church on the earth, even in places where He is not welcome. Even in parts of the world where Christians are hated and openly persecuted.
The truth is that in spite of what is visible to the eye: the Lord has made His disciples to be "more
than conquerors" (Romans 8:37). Not even the "Gates of hell" will prevail against God's children (Matthew 16:18).
There is nothing happening in the world, be it good or bad, that God is not aware of. He even knows the thoughts of one's heart. Knowing this puts my soul at rest and my heart at peace.
