Thou therefore endure hardness,
as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

It's November and the cooler weather is here...
as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 2:3
It's November and the cooler weather is here...
There was even a light snowfall the other day, but it didn't stick. It's a sign, however, that winter's on its way.
With Veterans Day on the horizon, I am reminded that as a soldier of Jesus Christ, I am always more than a conqueror. That God has provided me with everything needed to fight the spiritual battle which every disciple of the Lord must face, and will face.
I also know that because of King Jesus, I am always in victory. Yet, there are times when it will seem as if the battle is being lost. Feelings of weariness will set in. And seasons of disappointment, doubt and frustration will come as well. But such things are part of the battle. This is because, more than anything, the battle is being fought in one's mind; it's a battle of faith, too.
One is faced with the choice of whether to quit or go on. And by the grace of God I have consistently chosen the latter. I'm not quitting. Nor am I surrendering to despair. I hope, as well, that none of my brothers and sisters in Christ will ever quit on Him. He never quit on us.
