I am looking forward to having several days off from work because of the Thanksgiving holiday...
I hope to catch up on my correspondence as well as have some time to update my journal. Most of all, I'm looking forward to some downtime. A few of the guys have a small meal planned for Thanksgiving. No fresh turkey. But we all chipped in with various items from the prison's commissary. We're hoping to have a supper of rice and beans and summer sausage prepared in a small heater pot, with a few meager seasonings.
But I am very pleased, however, by my semi-annual work evaluation. I've been at my current job assignment for six months and received excellent for all eleven categories that are listed on the evaluation form, some of which are quality of work, dependability, self-control, effort and initiative, and the ability to follow directions, plus more.
I know this was all the Lord's doing. As the Scripture states, I can do all that I need to do through Christ who provides me with the strength, wisdom and ability to get the job done.
