My soul shall make her boast in the Lord:
the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
Psalm 34:2
It is hard to believe that 2012 is nearing its end...
the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
Psalm 34:2
It is hard to believe that 2012 is nearing its end...
Life does indeed oftentimes appear to be like a vapor or a puff of smoke which is here for a brief moment, but then quickly vanishes away. At least this is how the apostle James describes it (James 4:14).
I say this because it won't be too much longer before I'll be sixty years old. And it boggles my mind. Where did the time go?
Truly, however, looking at my life now, my soul must make its boast in the Lord. Because the Lord has kept me safe and healthy. He has given me a sound mind, even after thirty-five long years of imprisonment.
Yes, I am astounded, amazed and humbled that God would keep me as the apple of His eye even when I was once living in rebellion toward Him. When in my foolish ignorance I was at one time worshiping the devil. For He knew that the day would come when my heart of pride would melt under the convicting power of the Holy Ghost.
Truly, Jesus has been good to me. And while I admit to being so undeserving of such mercy, I am thankful to have received it.
