Blessed be the man that
makes the Lord his trust...
Psalm 40:4a
I have shared my story of deliverance and redemption before…
makes the Lord his trust...
Psalm 40:4a
I have shared my story of deliverance and redemption before…
But with all that is going on in the world today, the pain, loss of lives, and human suffering, I need to share it again. My hope is that those, who are reading this for the first time, will be encouraged to call upon the Lord for themselves. And if they do, God will never reject them, nor turn them away.
Psalm 40:1-3 pretty much outlines the story of my life. I was slowly dying in a kind of deadly quicksand commonly referred to as "sin." My life was out of control; my mind, a mess. I was, without a doubt, on the road to self-destruction. I was headed for an early grave, and an eternal hell.
But in the midst of my madness, and in the darkness of my soul, I somehow managed to cry out to the Lord. Thankfully, He heard my cries. Jesus took pity upon me and pulled me out of a sea of suffocating mud, and out of a horrible pit.
Messiah Jesus, with endless love and mercy, washed away all my sins and transgressions with His own blood. He put a new song of praise and thanksgiving on my lips, and within my heart.
My life has never been the same. This was more than thirty years ago. I have been walking with Jesus ever since. I've had my failings and shortcomings along the way, but the Lord has been faithful to put me back on my feet and clean me off. He continues to walk with me on the journey of life. My ultimate destination: HEAVEN!
Dear Friend, I do believe Jesus is calling you. Even now, as you read this, He is knocking on the door of your heart. He's also calling out your name, asking you to open the door to your heart, and let Him in. I hope you will.
D.B.
"All that the Father gives me shall come to me; and he who comes to me, I will never cast aside" (John 6:37).
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in, and will dine with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20).
The Scriptures above are the recorded words of Jesus Christ.
