It is not uncommon for me to receive letters from those who have doubts about God's love for them…
They sense rejection from the Lord because they feel they've been unfaithful to Him. They will write, "I've not been a good Christian" or "God cannot love me because I have failed him too many times."
I frequently read such words from guilt-ridden, troubled hearts. I could spend hours discussing my thoughts on this, but let me assure those who have placed their faith in Christ, that His love for you has no limits. It is not, nor will it ever be, based on one's behavior and performance.
Father God doesn't withdraw His love whenever we mess up, be it committing a sin, or making a bad choice, or anything else.
The Scriptures declare that, "But God has demonstrated His deep love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). His word asks us these questions: "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or poverty, or threat of death?"
The Bible goes on to say, "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us.” It then assures us with these words, "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:35-39).
There you have it. Now, by faith, believe it and receive it. God loves you, not because of what you do, or don't do, but because you are His child, and Christ Jesus has already paid for all your sins - past, present, and future - with His own sinless blood. So be at peace. God loves you, and He will always love you.
Nothing, absolutely nothing, can stop God from loving you!
