I pray that my many friends and family in Christ will have a safe and spiritually victorious summer...
The hot weather is here, and I’m already counting the days until autumn arrives. It’s ten o’clock on a sunny Saturday morning. While I write my journal, I’m listening to music on the local Christian radio station, the Sound of Life. Then after lunch, there will be a worship service in the prison’s chapel. We have a service every Saturday and Sunday afternoon from 1:00-3:30 PM. And we have Bible studies every Tuesday from 6:00-7:30 PM, and every Thursday evening from 6:00-8:30 PM.
Earlier today, however, I was once again thanking the Lord that as someone who’s considered to be a “notorious” criminal, here at the prison I’m merely another face in the crowd. In other words, I receive no special attention or privileges. With God’s help, I have easily blended into the general population. This was also true during my twenty-eight years at my previous facility. I’m thankful to be just another face, able to live an active but quiet life behind the wall.
