Big Losses

The work of the Lord continues behind the walls...

However, one aspect of prison life is that change is inevitable. It happens sooner or later. As recently, a number of my fellow Christians were sent on transfers to other facilities. Sadly for me, they were men whom I was just getting to know. Now they're gone.

I take such losses personally, and they will be missed. But the big challenge for the church body at Shawangunk is that some of these men were spiritually mature believers. They had different roles and assignments with church oversight and various helps-type ministries. Now they will need to be replaced by other men who have shown themselves to be responsible and trustworthy. Such decisions on whom to promote will require much prayer, as well as waiting on the Lord.
