As far as I know, no one in my family has ever accepted Jesus (Yeshua) as his or her Savior and Messiah...
My family's Jewish. My Dad, who lived to be 101, died last year. But it is my hope that my father received the Lord in his final weeks on earth. Because, as it became obvious that my Dad's death was soon to come, the Lord, I believe, made it so that my father was surrounded by caring Christians. The Lord even placed a Christian hospice nurse by his bedside, and she was with him as he took his final breath.
Furthermore, as my father's life began to draw to a close, various friends of mine, who were all Christians and knew my Dad personally, came to visit him. They prayed for him, too, some even placing their loving hands upon my Dad's tired body as they prayed for his salvation.
You see, my Dad was a professed agnostic. All his life, he would willingly debate with anyone as to whether or not God exists, doubting of course that He did. But now, bedridden and barely able to move or even talk above a whisper, my poor Dad could no longer debate with or get away from those "crazy people" who believed Jesus was the Messiah. Now he was trapped with none other than a bunch of God praising Christians to keep him company.
I definitely saw the humorous side of the Lord in all this. My father, a proud and hard-working man, always believed that a man should stand on his own two feet. But now he could no longer stand on his. Nor could he run from Jesus, nor try to dodge Him. Instead, my Dad found himself trapped in a bed, but surrounded by Christians, and having no strength left to debate them. Ha!
Yes, as my father's life drew to a close, the Lord Jesus made sure my father would hear the gospel again and again. And I could also picture the Lord laughing, in a good-natured way, at my Dad's predicament.
Messiah Jesus loved him so much. He was not going to let my Dad off the hook easily, nor was He going to allow my father to go into eternity without one Christian witness after another appearing at his bedside.
However, as to the final outcome of all this, I don't know. I cannot say with one hundred percent certainty that my father finally received Jesus/Yeshua as his Messiah. I hope he did. Many others do, too.
