Never stop praying!

But it is, at least up to a point. Prison is more than a place of punishment, although it certainly is. But in here men and women do find the Lord, and they become gloriously saved and set free from the power of sin, Satan, and death.
I have seen the reality of this countless times, and this is why I am very outspoken about my faith. God's power is real, and the Holy Spirit is always busy seeking out those who want the Lord. Who realize their need to be reconciled to Him through repentance from their sins and crimes, and by placing their faith on Messiah Jesus, and upon His finished work on a blood-drenched cross on Calvary's hill.
While earlier today, a fellow prisoner who is a well known gang member, stopped by my cell this morning to ask for prayer for his mother. She was recently diagnosed with cancer, he told me. And it's of the type which is often fatal to the female gender. Seeing the desperation in his face, I assured him that I would indeed pray for her. He seemed relieved by my response.
It's often through unexpected situations like this that allow me to realize why I am here. Society has me in prison for punishment, and I fully accept this. But Jesus has me here to show my fellow convicts how much He loves them, and how much He cares.
