It has been an unusually difficult and challenging week…
I seem to be getting hit from all sides. I'm not speaking of physical assaults, of course, but rather the day-to-day troubles that sometimes come in bunches, and unexpectedly as well.
As I see it, after all these years of walking with the Lord, I will on occasion find myself "falling short." Life still has its trials and tribulations to deal with. Problems arise even for spiritually mature Christians. No one is exempt from them.
Therefore, I am reminded what Jesus said, "In this world you will have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world!" (John 16:33). Today I needed to be reminded of this, and now more than ever.
