Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able
to stand firm against all the strategies of the devil.

to stand firm against all the strategies of the devil.
Ephesians 6:11 NLT
It's nine o'clock on a Friday evening...
I just got back from my college class on the history of New York State. It's the only class I'm enrolled in this semester. Otherwise, I stay busy with my own writing projects. I have my church responsibilities, too, along with my work assignment.
But aside from my daily routine, at this time I am undergoing what I would describe as an intense battle in the spiritual realm. Of no surprise, it began suddenly and unexpectedly, as these things so often do. But now I am in the thick of it as I seek the Lord's help in handling the matter well.
I am praying for wisdom, of course. Yet, even as I write this, Satan's flaming arrows and fiery darts are flying. And there's a good reason for all this devilish commotion. The reason I believe is me.
Of late I have encountered some wonderful victories where God has used my story of forgiveness, redemption, and hope to touch and encourage many lives. And hopefully within the next few journal entries I will share these "praise reports" with my readers.
As my friends Pastor Johnny and his wife, Minister Sherry Smith, love to say, "It's all good, because it's all God." And it truly is all good because Satan is already defeated. His flaming darts and arrows can do no harm to a man or woman of God who is wearing the spiritual armor that our God provides.*

*The spiritual armor of God can be found in the apostle Paul's letter to the Ephesian church in the New Testament. (Ephesians 6:10-18).
