...after being discontinued for almost a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It was good to reunite as a community and to once again be afforded the opportunity to worship and praise the Lord together.
Fortunately, the prison's administration did allow our Tuesday and Thursday evening Bible classes, as well as our Monday night Spanish Bible study, to continue throughout the pandemic. We had to socially distance, of course, but at least we had our studies.
Nevertheless, while the chapel was never completely shut down, it was sad having to see it sitting empty and dark for much of the week. But we're open now, and the men have returned.
Gathering together is important, and it is not to be neglected. We need to join as one body for the purpose of mutual encouragement. Furthermore, our meeting as a unified group is a Scriptural mandate. Christ requires it, we need it, and now we have it once more.
