The war on Coronavirus continues...
My cell block remains on semi-lockdown. One cell block remains under quarantine. But for the most part, I can still go outdoors. Mail service continues, which is a big concern for the men. For many, an occasional card or letter is one's only contact with the outside world.
In here, we've been battling the virus with lots of bleach and applications of hand sanitizer, but the virus is taking a toll. Not necessarily a physical one, since only a small minority have come down with it. It is more of a psychological thing. Many of the men have kids. Their families are of big concern. Some of them have grandparents or parents who are elderly. One man asked for prayer for his brother who has AIDS. He's been surviving it for twenty years. He's concerned that because his brother has a compromised immune system, he could be at increased risk for Corona. He asked me to pray for his brother and family, and I told him I will.
