Queen Esther is one of my favorite characters in the Bible...
A young and attractive God-fearing Jewish woman, the unseen hand of the Lord arranged for Esther to become a member of King Ahasuerus' household in the kingdom of Persia. She was placed in this position by the Almighty because He knew that in due time Esther will be given the opportunity to save her fellow Jews from annihilation.
The hand of divine Providence had Esther in the right place, for the right time. I was encouraged by this. Her story reminded me that God is always watching over His children, no matter where they are. He's watching over me, too, even if I don't always sense His presence. And as He prepared deliverance for His people in the past, the Lord has already prepared my deliverance from danger now. I needed to be reminded of this truth.
