It was the best news I received in a long time...
Yesterday at lunchtime, Officer Kerry* came and told me that after the meal was finished I was to start packing my things. I was moving back upstairs. It was an answer to many prayers. God heard my cries.
So as soon as I returned to my cell, I began to collect my belongings. I was moving to cell #234 on the second floor, and thereby leaving behind my demonically driven neighbor. Not only this, but as an added blessing, I was moving next door to my former neighbor, Joe. I could not have been happier and more thankful.
This was all a surprise as I didn't request the move. It was last year, after the escape of two inmates from Clinton Correctional Facility, which had nothing to do with me, that I was ordered to move downstairs to the first floor. Although the first floor cell was okay, the move itself seemed pointless. However, I had no choice.
Unfortunately, the man who ended up living next to me when I was on the first floor was truly a psychopath. But I'm free of him now. I'm back in a quieter location, and with a good neighbor. Packing and unpacking was exhausting. But when I started to move my things, a lot of guys came over to help me carry everything upstairs.
Last night, I had my first good sleep in a long time. It was as if the Lord miraculously snatched me from the
mouth of a hungry lion.
