Today, the Lord reminded me through His word that life for His followers can be difficult...
And this ls true even for those like myself who've been serving Him for many years. Thus, the belief some have that a Christian's journey will get easier over time, is false. It won't get easier.
But I do believe it will get better. As the title of a popular hymn declares, "Every Day with Jesus is Sweeter Than the Day Before." Yes, my relationship with the Lord has grown and deepened, and my life with Him has become sweeter. But what is also true is that as long as I live in a fallen world, and with a body that's so easily prone to sin, trials and afflictions will remain a part of my life; hence the need to always encourage myself in the Lord. That whatever may come my way, I can face the situation in faith, knowing the Lord is always at my side.
