As with all Christ's disciples, I'm a work in progress...
But I confess that sometimes my progress is slow. Yet the Lord is a patient teacher.
Presently, however, I've been laid up with a swollen kneecap. My left knee looks as if someone put a big grapefruit under the skin. It looks hideous. Horrific pain! I was told by the doctor that if I still have this problem by Monday, I could end up in the hospital.
And in light of this, the Bible states that our physical body (the outward man) is slowly deteriorating. But the good news is that our inward man (my inner spirit), is being renewed day by day. Such a passage becomes very promising as I get older. According to the Word of God, a new and glorious body awaits me when this life is over (2 Corinthians 4:16-18).
