Satan's Pride

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable,
always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye
​know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 
1 Corinthians 15:58

I know that no matter what difficulties I may encounter on any given day... 

I have the victory through my Lord Jesus Christ. Nevertheless, my faith has been getting challenged a lot more than usual, or so it seems. But these things really help to remind me that, as a Christian, spiritual warfare is and will always be a daily part of my life. And this is because Satan is a very arrogant and angry being, with a heart that's filled with pride. Thus, he makes it his business to fight against Christ's disciples in any way he can.

I am learning, as well, that any setbacks that may occur with my ministry (and they often do), are merely opportunities for me to learn to wait upon the Lord more. To develop more patience, and to allow my trust in God to deepen

And I have to keep reminding myself of these things, because as it is so often the case with me, it is easy to forget such truths and to lose sight of the bigger picture of what Christ is trying to do in my life.

So whether the Devil comes at me by stealth and quiet deception, or by direct temptation, my task is to continue doing whatever God has called me to do. I must stay close to God as I firmly resist my adversary by standing in faith.
