Death Wishes

The term sounds ominous and creepy, but it is a very real and legitimate term...

And I hope it becomes more well known because it is an important element when dealing with mental health issues. In fact, I myself, as I would later discover on my own, was a victim of death wishes since early childhood.

This is a story yet to be told, and I hope to share this part of my life in the future. But for now, I want to introduce a book which has helped me tremendously with regard to understanding my own inner demons and my history of self-destructive and self-sabotaging behaviors. ​

The book I am referring to and recommending is, "God's Power to Change" by John Loren and Paula Sanford. Both individuals focus on emotional health and the effects of an array of negative experiences which have led to deep and often unconscious woundings of one's mind and inner spirit, thus causing that person to lead a troubled and difficult life of self-defeat and needless pain (see a video interview where I share more about this).

Over the years, this book has brought me much understanding about my own behaviors, and has helped me to become a better and more holistic person.

Today I can say, along with the prophet Jeremiah, "Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and
I shall be saved: to You I will give my praise" (Jeremiah 17:14).
