Not so. Each day has its challenges and difficulties. But God has shown Himself faithful to uphold me. He has given me the Holy Spirit to keep my faith strong. In addition, I have God's word hidden deep within my heart and mind to provide me with an unending supply of encouragement and hope.
In this environment, the demons of disappointment and discouragement are everywhere. They will come like a swarm seeking to suck the life out of one's soul. They've come against me many times. But by the grace of God, I stood my ground, although it has by no means been easy.
The storms of life come, and they go, and they come again. But one thing I know, the God who lives inside me is infinitely greater than the devil and all his minions.
"This I recall to mind, therefore I have hope. It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness" (Lamentations 3:21-23).
