Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of
His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able
to stand against the wiles (the schemes and tricks) of the devil."

I would often feel compelled to write about the operations of what can be referred to as "demonic principalities," or more simply known as "demons."
It's not a subject I enjoy writing about, rather it is out of necessity that I do. I would much rather write about the goodness of God, and the mercy of Jesus Christ.
However, concerning my latest cautionary tale about the subject of the occult and the demonic realm, I wish to make it clear that, for the "born again" disciple of Christ, there is absolutely no reason to fear demons, nor Satan.
The Bible makes it clear that a disciple of Christ has the God-given authority, as well as the regal privilege, to trample upon Satan's head, and upon every demonic element which exists. Also, to rebuke any and all nefarious spirits which seek to bring harm to humanity - wicked and troublesome spirits who strive to slow the progress of the church's mission of bringing the life-transforming gospel of our Lord to the lost.
It is of the utmost necessity that a disciple of the Lord know his position within the family of Jesus the Messiah, as well as what it means to engage in what is often referred to as "spiritual warfare." How to fight against the unseen rulers and forces of the darkness, and how to set these wicked beings to flight.
The subject of satanism, to include witchcraft, and what I have labeled "occultic programming" in my previous journal entries that I divided into three parts, was written to educate my readers to the reality of these matters. There exists a Devil, and a host of demons, as well.
I've written on these topics to warn those who are thinking of dabbling in these areas, or may already be doing so, of the dangers which loom ahead, but also to remind my fellow believers in Christ that we are never to fear evil, nor the Devil.
Instead, we are to be watchful so as to expose his schemes, and take whatever action necessary to defeat him. The Spirit-filled disciple of the Lord is never to run from the Devil. We are to run after him so as to set Satan and his demons to flight. We stand our ground, dressed in the full armor of God. We stand under the authority of our Lord, the One who makes demons tremble.

Important Scriptures:
Jesus gave His disciples the "power and authority" over all demons (Luke 9:1).
Jesus again lets His followers know that He has granted power for us to "tread on serpents" (a common term for demons), and "over all the power of the enemy." That nothing "shall by any means hurt you" (Luke 10:17-20).
