Thou therefore endure hardness
as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 2:3
I continue to believe that the best days of the church are yet to come, with many people from all walks of life placing their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ...

But with this will inevitably come times of hardship and persecution, along with having to learn how to make due with limited resources.
Historically, the churches functioned at their best in such times. Hardship and fiery trials have always been what the Lord uses to refine His children, thus allowing us to mature into solid spiritual soldiers with a faith that cannot be shaken.
At the same time, there will be a falling away of many. Those who thought they could waltz their way into heaven while living any way they so pleased, will not have the inner steadfastness to endure persecution. Yet many others will become spiritually strong witnesses for the Lord. As it says in the Old Testament book of Daniel the prophet concerning the end times, "And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever, and ever" (Daniel 12:3).
