My facility remains under a semi-lockdown, and it has been in this mode since the first half of March due to the Covid-19 situation...
Visits are still prohibited. There are no weekend worship services in the chapel, either.
The good news, however, is that our evening Bible studies have been allowed to resume, with "social distancing" rules, of course.
With my chaplain still out on medical leave, and our faithful volunteers locked out of the facility for now, I have been filling in as the Bible teacher on Tuesday evenings, while another prisoner covers the class on Thursdays. We're thankful to be allowed to do this.
I believe I've been led to teach from chapters two and three of the book of Revelation on the spiritual condition of the seven churches that are presented in it. If Jesus was to conduct a spiritual examination of our congregation here at Shawangunk, what would He say?
