Swarm

This past weekend, I attended our regularly scheduled chapel services on both Saturday and Sunday afternoons...

But heavy rains kept me indoors for much of the time. Nevertheless, the torrential downpours helped to chase the bugs away, and this was good. Because this past Friday, flying insects of all kinds swarmed all over me. I had gone to the block recreation yard, as I often do during the evenings. But, for whatever reason, bugs were everywhere. I don't think I've ever seen so many in one place at one time.

The swarm was so extensive that lots of strange looking flying insects were bouncing off my face, arms and T-shirt. l spent several hours trying to put up with them. I was glad when ten o'clock arrived, as this is when the recreation yard closes for the evening. When I got back to my cell, I couldn't wait to take off my sweaty shirt and splash water on my face and all over my neck. This was the first time I was caught, not in a storm, but in a swarm.
