Today's worship service went well...
We had about fifty men in attendance in the chapel. Brother Philip, who's an inmate like me, gave a powerful message on now being the time to get serious with God. I felt he preached his sermon with passion, and with the unction of the Holy Spirit.
Meanwhile, I was at my usual place, standing guard by the chapel's entry door, where I serve in my role as greeter. I get to personally welcome every man who enters our house of worship, and I am very satisfied doing this.
And on a more personal note, the Lord is gradually bringing me out of a period of physical tiredness and spiritual dryness. But I have no complaints because I believe God does His best work when He is pruning and preparing me for further levels of ministry when I am in a state of weakness as opposed to times when I am feeling strong, well-rested and confident. As a surgeon cannot operate on a patient who is awake and standing upright, the Lord has to make me to lie down, helpless and still. Then He can work on my heart and not have me to resist Him.
