For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but
of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7
I thank the Almighty God for the gift of a sound mind...
of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7
I thank the Almighty God for the gift of a sound mind...
Especially since, many years ago, there was a time when I was not in my right mind. But those days are gone, and I'm glad they are.
Yet I do, however, live in the oftentimes chaotic world called prison. In here, it can be a challenge to maintain one's peace of mind. Between the clanging of bells, the boom of cell doors opening and closing as steel bangs against steel, and the shouts of inmates and guards, it's the inner strength
which comes from the Lord, that helps me to flourish in this place, rather than languish in despair.
The Lord, I believe, is the anchor of my soul. Without His presence and the supernatural power He provides to sustain me, I doubt if I would have my sanity today. The verse I quoted above from Paul's second letter to his spiritual son, Timothy, says it all.
