The Lord is full of surprises...
One can never know what He is going to do next unless God reveals it. Sometimes He even chooses to use my life in unusual and unexpected ways, for which I am grateful.
Recently, for example, I was able to write a letter to my friend's doctor who is Jewish. Unbeknownst to me, my friend had been telling his doctor about my correspondence with him. My friend said the doctor appeared very interested in my story, and he began to ask questions about my faith.
So at my friend's behest, I told the doctor that I too am a Jew. I urged him to examine the many Old Testament passages which point to the Messiah's first coming, and how these have all been fulfilled by Jesus (Yeshua). I asked him to compare such passages with those that are in the New Testament. I then added that one day I believe Jesus will fulfill all the prophecies of the Messiah's second coming as well.
It was yet another unique opportunity to tell a fellow Jew about the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and what He has done for me. I know that a seed of hope has been planted in yet another heart.
