...which is based on a truth that as a disciple of Jesus Christ, one may suffer many trials, challenges, and hardships. Being a follower of the Lord is not meant to be an easy journey. It is a walk of faith where the disciple may find his faith getting tested daily.
The Scriptures declare that if I suffer with Christ, I will reign with Him (2 Timothy 2:12). Also, "All that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution" (2 Timothy 3:12). Many will be surprised to know that sufferings and trials are part of the life of a Christian.
But with it comes the joy of knowing Jesus as my Lord and Savior, and by having a deep and spiritually intimate relationship with Him. In addition, as one of God's redeemed children, I have the Holy Spirit now living inside me to provide me with daily comfort and inner peace. I also have the Scriptures to strengthen and encourage me.
Meditating on this, I was greatly encouraged by the thought that one day I will have the opportunity to meet every soul who's been touched and inspired by my story of redemption. It will be a humbling and rewarding experience for sure.
In the end, all the suffering from verbal attacks by those who hate me, and all the hardships that I've had to face, to include those who've tried to take advantage of me and sometimes succeeded, will have been worth it. All told, I am and always have been "more than a conqueror" through Jesus Christ, my Lord.*
